Hi there! I’m Jason Hilton,

My journey into the world of design and branding started in Hamilton, Ontario, where I grew up helping out in my parents’ used record store. Surrounded by music, creativity, and community, I discovered a love for drawing and design early on.

After studying Illustration at Sheridan College, I found myself captivated by the art and science of branding while working on an aquarium brand in 2001. That spark led me to dive deeper into brand development, exploring its processes, theories, and real-world applications.

Eager to bring my vision to life, I launched my first agency, The Red Rabbit Studio. The success of that venture propelled it into what you see today: the Branding Department. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with brands across a wide range of industries, including health and wellness, nonprofit animal rehabilitation, HVAC, home improvement, game stores, event planning, regional HVAC distribution, and many more.

Position Open - Lead Sales Associate

Overview

The ideal candidate will close HVAC company sales leads we provide to help generate revenue for the company. They will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the sales strategy. They will have strong communication, management, and coaching skills to support the learning and development of the leads and customers they source.

Branding Department is a brand development company serving the trades industries with a focus on HVAC industry growth into 2025-2026. Important: This position does not require sales of HVAC products or services—it sells brand development services to HVAC companies.

This role has the potential to define a prosperous and lucrative career for the right candidate.

Responsibilities
  • Support the learning and development of all prospected leads.
  • Coordinate with sales representatives to generate and meet with prospective leads.
  • Track and report all sales activities using company software.
  • Develop and execute sales strategy through market analysis.

  • Extensive background checks will be performed on your CV/resume details and history.
Other Details

Regional Focus: The candidate will act as the Branding Department Regional Sales Specialist for the US and Canada (Texas and all of Canada) with a focus on HVAC companies with high commission rates.

Compensation: High commission-based earning potential. A salary/commission hybrid may be considered based on terms discussed.

Remote Work: 100% remote work is available, providing flexibility to work from anywhere.

Technical & Strategic Skills: Must possess strong industry knowledge, technical understanding of HVAC/trades, strategic thinking, and customer-focused relationship management.

Commission Details

Our transparent, aggressive, and progressive commission structure is designed to provide a high rate of income for the right candidate. Details include:

New Customer (Year 1) Commission
  • If revenue = $10,000 → Commission = 25% of $10,000 = $2,500
  • If revenue = $15,000 → Commission = 25% of $15,000 = $3,750
Established Customer (Year 2) Commission
  • If original revenue = $10,000 (Year 2 revenue ≈ $7,500) → Commission = 5% of $7,500 = $375
  • If original revenue = $15,000 (Year 2 revenue ≈ $11,250) → Commission = 5% of $11,250 = $562.50
Earnings Scenarios

Scenario A: 36 new clients and 36 established clients

  • New Client Earnings: $90,000 – $135,000
  • Established Client Earnings: $13,500 – $20,250
  • Total Annual Earnings: $103,500 – $155,250

Scenario B: 48 new clients and 48 established clients

  • New Client Earnings: $120,000 – $180,000
  • Established Client Earnings: $18,000 – $27,000
  • Total Annual Earnings: $138,000 – $207,000

Added Services: If a client retains additional services, these are commissioned at a rate between 5% to 10%, depending on the service type.

New Client Expectations & Position Review

This position will require new HVAC clients within the first 30 days of hiring. Monthly reviews will ensure pacing, lead handling, and closure rates are met. Quotas will be determined during the hiring process.

The position is contracted and will be reviewed monthly for the first three months. After this period, quarterly reviews will be conducted.
